Petite Fashion Challenge #9: Heat Wave Appropriate

"Create an outfit that accounts for the various environmental factors that plague us in the summer. I want to know how you dress when it's 90 degrees outside and 65 degrees inside."

Thank you to Elle of Fast Food & Fast Fashion for hosting this challenge!

More info on the LOFT top / more info on the Ann Taylor heels / Judith Jack necklace & bracelet

I styled my hair using the HANA Professional Flat Iron 1.5"...review coming soon!

Boy was the only cat who braved the 100° weather!

Fortunately, extreme temperature differences do not happen often in my classroom. If they do, I reach for capris to keep my legs warm...they get cold way too easily! On top, I prefer open armholes with a cardigan for indoors. This outfit has me excited to head back to school soon!!

  2. Michelle, I think I have those "capris" and it looks like a full length pants on me. ;) You look so tall in these pictures. I was not able to find the AT shoes, sigh!

  3. @The Little Dust Princess Thanks, Jessy! I have been wearing them so much!

    @VickyLol! You are right...these are actually pants, but I rolled them up three times to make capris! :) I got so much use out of them in the spring! So sad you did not find the shoes! :(

  4. Stripes! I love stripes with a passion and this looks so incredibly good on you! The blouse-y look but fitted shoulders/chest makes the fit ever so pretty. Also loving the shoes - great job!

    @Cee I am guilty of wearing the top out two nights in a row! :p

    @Rainy Days and Lattes Yes, it was very warm...I refused to stand in the sun with my cardigan on! :p

    @Stylepint You would look great in capris! I want to see you try them out! :p

    @TaraMixandMatch It has been so easy to wear. I even wore it with short shorts and the same heels for a casual late night snack...actually, two nights out. :p

    @purses and puppies
    @Katherine Hehe...he just runs when he hears the door open. He loves to roll around and chirp at the birds!

    @Olyvia I am in love with these heels! I planned on using these as a neutral pair for work, but I am scared they will get worn out. Maybe I will limit them to once every other week. :p

  16. Great job on the challenge, it's hard to dress for hot weather outside and cold super air conditioned places in the Summer! I love the shoes as well as the cropped cargo pants, I just saw the review in the prior posting and I agree, Ann Taylor and Loft over the past several years have cut back on the quality, I used to be able to buy 100% silk dresses with lining there for under $50...not the case anymore.
